The UKirk Intern:

  • Works an average of 20 hours a week
  • Provides mentoring and guidance as necessary to the students involved in UKirk
  • Works with the Campus Minister in areas of program planning and implementation, trip planning, and communication. The intern plans and leads at least one Tuesday night program each month.

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Report to Campus Minister and attend weekly individual supervision meetings
  • Attend weekly student leadership team meetings to encourage and empower the student leaders
  • Work with CM to keep supporting congregations, alumni, and others informed about the activities of the ministry
  • Assist CM in carrying out Lilly grant programming including a mentoring program and an ecumenical campus event
  • Serve as a resource and participant in weekly programs
  • Attend Sunday worship in partner churches with students
  • Meet with students individually or in small groups as needed, paying particular attention to the needs of first-year students
