Young adults on a Habitat for Humanity buildThe Mission Ministry team, in conjunction with the Associate Pastor, plans and coordinates urban mission opportunities and projects for youth and adults. Projects offer a variety of opportunities to work with children, older adults, our homeless neighbors and those with special needs. Projects include, but are not limited to; minor home repairs/construction, serving meals to the homeless, mentoring at-risk children and serving the elderly. CONNECT also partners with various organizations in the community such as the Urban Ministry Center, Crisis Assistance Ministry, Friendship Trays & Gardens, Love INC., Samaritan’s Feet, Second Harvest Food Bank, etc. which all offer a wide array of services to those in need.  Morning, midday and evening worship services, at your discretion, are offered by Avondale leadership.  Educational opportunities such as budget and poverty simulations are also offered.
