About our Campus:
Menaul School is located on a spacious 30-acre campus in the heart of Albuquerque. The School was founded in 1896 by Presbyterian minister Rev. James A. Menaul. It was originally a Presbyterian mission boarding school for Spanish-speaking boys from Northern New Mexico. Today, Menaul serves young people of all faith backgrounds, grades 6 through 12 - boarding and day students, both international and domestic. Menaul School, although now independent of the Presbyterian Church (USA), remains grounded in the reformed Christian tradition and has gained a reputation for producing young people with excellent values, ethics, and moral character. Menaul accepts students from all cultural, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds, and more than 70% of students are self-identified as individuals of racial or ethnic minorities. Fifty-two percent of our students receive financial assistance. Menaul continues to receive some financial support from the Presbyterian Church (USA) as one of the designated Racial/Ethnic Schools and Colleges that benefit from the church’s annual Christmas Joy Offering.
Experience with work groups:
Menaul School has a long history of welcoming church work groups to our campus. For much of the school’s 117-year history, work groups have provided much needed support to our campus. We have between three and six work groups helping each summer, as well as long-term mission volunteers providing valuable support during the school year.
