The nature of work and mission can include Soup Kitchen, hosing construction, repair, and rehabilitation and possible working with the local Habit for Humanity. We are willing to work with groups on what they would like to do while here.
The Presbyterian Church of Barnet has a historical retreat building built in the 1898 for groups to stay. The Green Mountain Retreat has a commercial kitchen which allows groups to enjoy their own meals and there are two bathrooms with showers. Separate rooms for men and women can be set up on the second floor and first floor. The Green Mountain Retreat is set in rural Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. It is within a few minutes from Harvey's Lake ( where Jacques Coustreau learned to swim) and is about a half hour from ski slopes and an hour from the White Mountains, NH and Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream factory. It can welcome groups 7 to 30 people; $15 per person per night and 1 adult to 5 to 6 youth.
