Christian Appalachian Project is an interdenominational organization that builds hope, transforms lives, and share's Christ's love through service in Appalachia--particularly Eastern Kentucky. We have a high need for week-long mission teams to serve in our home repair programs. By bringing your mission team to CAP, you not only have the opportunity to experience Appalachia and pray as a small group, you will also help CAP serve more people in Eastern Kentucky. With the help of groups, our home repair programs can accomplish a year’s worth of work in just a summer!

Who: Church, school, family, or any group of two or more people welcome. Must be 14 or older. No previous construction experience necessary.

When: Mission teams serve one week (Sunday - Friday), May-November. We also have alternative spring break programs in March (college) and April (high school).

Where: We serve in several low-income counties in Eastern Kentucky.

Accommodations: Housing and meals provided at one of our groups facilities. A Group Host will be available during your stay to prepare meals and answer your questions about CAP and the area.

Project leadership: You will serve under the direction of a skilled crew leader and alongside individual CAP Volunteers who make a commitment of three weeks or longer. Tools and materials provided.

Cost: $400/person during the summer/fall season. See website for alternative spring break fees.

We also have short-term (3 weeks - 10 months) and long-term (11-12 months) opportunities for individual volunteers.
