UKirk is blessed to have an awesome team of campus ministers, college pastors, and chaplains to serve as the UKirk Board. Jason and Tammy serve alongside the UKirk Board as representatives of the Presbyterian Church (USA) national offices in Louisiville, KY. Jason is the National Director of UKirk Ministries. Tammy joined the national staff in January, 2017 as an Associate for Christian Formation.

Katie Owen Aumann (Duke University, Durham, NC)

Katie

Originally from Kansas, Katie was nurtured in her faith through campus ministry at Duke University when she was an undergrad, and now serves as the university's Presbyterian Campus Minister (go Blue Devils!). Over the past six years, she has watched the ministry grow into a vibrant community that now gathers weekly for dinner and contemplative worship. She also has the privilege of working with Presbyterian divinity students at Duke Divinity in their formation for ministry. Katie earned her MDiv from Columbia Seminary in 2011. She is blessed to share life with her husband, Wait, adorable baby Mollie and mostly ornery beagle, Gus.  Contact Katie: keo3@duke.edu

Andy CookeAndy Cooke (University of Georgia, Athens, GA)

Andy Cooke has served as Campus Minister of the Presbyterian Student Center at the University of Georgia since 2008, where he leads worship every Tuesday night. He served as the President of the Campus Ministry Association at the University of Georgia, and has also served on the Coordinating Committee for the National Campus Ministry Association. Prior to being ordained with the PCUSA as a Teaching Elder in 2005, Andy studied at the University of St. Andrews, Princeton Theological Seminary, and the University of Georgia. Ryan Church (University of Washington and University Presbyterian Church, Seattle, WA)

Ryan’s faith in Jesus was challenged and nurtured during his time as undergrad at the University of Washington as participated in the ministry that he now leads. Ryan has been connected to college ministry in various capacities over the past 20-plus years. For the last eight he has led the long-standing college ministry at UPC that is most known for their Tuesday large-group fellowship, The Inn, that connects with 100s of students from the University of Washington, Seattle Pacific University, Seattle University and others. LindseyLindsey Groves (Belmont and Vanderbilt Universities, Nashville, TN)

Lindsey was born in our nation’s capital and lived in various cities in Florida but primarily grew up around the lakes, where she fell in love with rowing–a passion that led her to the University of Tennessee, in Knoxville. She went to seminary at Duke Divinity School, where she focused on pastoral care, social issues and reformed worship. She has over a decade of ministry experiences, including working with youth and young adults, at academies and camps, in hospitals, and learning with people living with HIV/AIDs, as well as worshipping with some wonderful Presbyterian churches. Lindsey is specifically excited about the intergenerational goals of UKirk, and appreciates the love of many local Presbyterian churches in Nashville who desire to be the church for young and old alike. KrystalKrystal Leedy (Associate Pastor for Campus Ministry at University Presbyterian Church, Austin, TX)

Krystal has been serving at UPC since 2013. She is passionate about teaching the Reformed faith to her students and the connectivity of the Presbyterian Church (USA). On Sunday nights, her chapter of UKirk gathers for a home-cooked dinner and worship. In addition to leading the campus ministry at UPC, Krystal serves as the President of the University Interfaith Council for the University of Texas, a board member of the faith leader public policy group Texas Impact, and is highly involved with Mo-Ranch Conferences.  When not working, Krystal enjoys spending time with her husband John, daughter Lorelai, and dog Cricket. Preston TurleyPreston Turley (Director of UKirk Ministries Columbia, MO; ministry of First Presbyterian Church)

Preston has a Bachelor's degree in Youth and Family Ministry from Mid-America Nazarene University.  Building relationships with college students and involving them in real dialogue and education about their faith is at the core of Preston's call for ministry. Preston was born and raised in Kansas City and has lived in Columbia, MO since 2009. He is blessed to be walking through life with his beautiful wife, Danielle, and their two sons Grayson and Brantley, and their not-so-bright, but very sweet dog, Baxter. The family enjoys working in the garden, eating BBQ, and screaming their heads off for the Mizzou Tigers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Royals! Mike WatsonMike Watson (Associate Pastor, University Presbyterian Church, Baton Rouge, LA)

Mike grew up in the golf capital of the world, Augusta, GA. However, as his golf career was clearly not  going anywhere, he soon found his call to ministry while at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC. He attended seminary at Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, VA. After pastoral residencies at Broad Street Ministry in Philadelphia and Southminster Presbyterian Church in Richmond, Mike was called to University Presbyterian Church (UPC) in the Summer of 2012 and has found great fulfillment in working with the Christian Education  program, youth groups, college students, and the many fellowship and service programs at the church.  UPC is in close proximity to Louisiana State University. Mike is passionate about creating a safe, encouraging, and empowering community for children, youth,  and young adults through the witness of the faith community. In his spare time, Mike enjoys pickin’ on  his guitar and mandolin, spending time with his wife Melody, and playing very serious sports like kickball and ultimate frisbee.
