POSITION: Director of Campus Ministries
SCOPE: Half Time; Salary Range $22,000-$25,000 DOE
Ministry: Presbyterian Campus Ministry -University of Arizona
The Director of Campus Ministries provides pastoral leadership to the PCM Students and leaders. This individual is responsible for leading the ministries of PCM; regular and special events, mission opportunities and weekly worship. This person will also work closely with the PCM Board, the student intern and the volunteer leaders to provide spiritual nurture to students within PCM and reaching out to the University of Arizona. PCM has a long and full history ministering to the students on the University of Arizona campus.
Oversees planning and leadership of all ministry programming: weekly services, small groups, retreats, mission trips, outreach and fellowship events.
Provide guidance through pastoral leadership, support, care, and mentorship for students involved in the ministry.
Collaborates with PCM Board members, committees and students by providing vision and guidance
Maintain contact and visibility of PCM with individual congregations in the Presbytery de Cristo (including mission committees) and individual donors for the purposes of fundraising.
Promote PCM to the broader University community including faculty, staff and students beyond the Camps Christian Center.
Prior experience leading young adult ministry;
Good organizational skills, flexible, and detail oriented;
Strong enthusiastic leader who can engage people and motivate volunteers;
Good communicator, comfortable with public speaking and teaching;
Skilled in using technology for communication and planning;
A bachelor’s degree in theology, ministry or other related/equivalent degree is desirable.
